FMichel is a young thug who romantically models himself on Humphrey Bogart. While driving a stolen car, Michel shoots the policeman pursuing him. Penniless and on the run from the police, he turns to his American girlfriend Patricia, a student and aspiring journalist. Michel tries to persuade Patricia to run away to Italy with him in order to evade the police. As Michel continues to roam round Paris the police net tightens. Partricia does not agree to go the Italy with him but instead causes his tragic end.
