“I do believe objects can reincarnate.”

In the eyes of the Amsterdam artist Kaleb de Groot, each object carries a nostalgic air of its former purpose and meaning. Within his multi-disciplinary oeuvre, he transforms and combines (leftover) shapes from earlier situations in order to make new works. Each project leaves its traces in the next project and is even visually memorized in the form of a tattoo on the artists skin.

De Groots newest exhibition will open on the 9th of October at 7 pm in the Hague’s artist-run space 1646. The show will be completed during the opening with the deafening performance ‘Southwest abstract company’. It will join the different parts of the exhibition together using the wooden remains of an earlier sculpture.

Opening: Friday the 9th of October at 7 pm.
The show will be on display from the 10th till the 31st of October on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 1 to 5 pm.
