Good Shit, Bad Habits & Loose Women #1

‘Good Shit, Bad Habits & Loose Women’ is the title of the project opening 1646’s new season, from the 11th till the 26th of September.

While 1646 usually programs one exhibition per month, this time the initiative chooses for a quicker schedule. This way, 1646 wants to engage the audience and challenge the artists with a short, intensive working period and little room for second chances. Four recently graduated artists were invited to participate in the project.

Timmy van Zoelen

The first exhibition in ‘Good Shit, Bad Habits & Loose Women’ on Friday September the 11th at 7 pm, during Hoogtij #18 presents the video installation ‘Old Pride, New Glory’ by Timmy van Zoelen:

‘The work of Timmy van Zoelen consists mainly of videos that rely on their strong performance element. By creating a mental playing field for himself and his players he tries to combine various topics and interests to play them off against each other. This results in a game in which history and reality are stripped out of their illusions to make way for a new narrative structure.’
