ATTACK OF THE SORORITY MAGGOT BINGO IN THE SLIMEBALL BOWL-A-RAMA STUDIOS

After one year of heavy reconstruction works,1646 reopens its doors. On April the 25th, the new art space in The Hague will officially be opened to the public. For the opening, 1646 has invited Bas de Boer to build a whole new installation:

It all resembles the silly character of cartoons, but with a dark edge to it.. […] a retrospective, total-installation, exhibition and party in one. All in all a kind of cinematographic atmosphere in which the color black and unclear lighting are constant features.

Starting with this opening, 1646 invites artists to have a conversation via e-mail with a correspondent. The conversation follows the artits’ work during the development of his project in 1646.
